yeah it does, especially to the quarterback all the time. I'm not saying that's good or bad but whether due to the stiff penalties or due to a general player agreement most people are definitely easier on the QB. I thought using the leg like that was sort of weird but apparently it's not illegal so that's that. If I was Cutler I'd much rather have that than all 300 and whatever lbs land on me like what Saragusa did to end my Teams run at the SB way back when ( yes I still whine for the past ).

Maybe it does in today's game. I still remember the hit that Leonard Marshall put on Joe Montana during the 1990 NFC Championship game.

Or Jim Burt's hit....

A hit like either one of those in today's game? Tom Brady would produce more whine than Napa Valley or a litter of 3 week old puppies.

I honestly don't think Brady could have played football at any time prior to 1990........

Don't get me wrong,I'm a lifelong Raider fan and grew up on 70's football with a knowledge of NFL history. I love the old days of blood mud and guts. But at the same time a lot of people ended up crippled one way or another with nothing to show for it so maybe there should be a balance. Would still love to watch some vintage games though.
